Welcome to Lake Macquarie Game Fishing Club
Lake Macquarie Game Fishing Club situated at the port of Swansea was formed in 1962, since that time membership has grown to the extent that is now the second largest club in NSW.
It is a family orientated club with seperate divisions for Male, Female, Junior (11 yrs to under 16 yrs) and small fry (under 11 yrs) Anglers. Normally on the 1st weekend in February, the club will host its annual tournament, the ‘Bigfish bonanza’ where some 60 to 70 boats will participate.
The club also participates in the NSWGFA Interclub Tournament which is held the last weekend of February and 1st weekend in March each year at Port Stephens.
This tournament is the largest gamefishing tournament of its kind in the southern Hemisphere
Over the years numerous LMGFC anglers have had World, Australian and NSW records granted for Marlin, Sharks and other game fish
Our AGM is fast approaching, it will be held on 15th August 2017 at Lake Macquarie Yacht Club, Ada St, Belmont starting at 7:00pm.
You must be a financial member for the 2017/2018 season (membership due from 1st July 2017) to be eligible to submit any proposed changes & vote at the AGM.
If you wish to submit any of the following, please ensure you make the deadlines below for these submissions:
Notice of Motion for Constitution changes have to be submitted 21 days (by 25th July 2017) prior to the AGM date.
Committee Nominations have to be submitted 7 days (by 8th Aug 2017) prior to AGM.
Fishing Rules/Bylaw changes – so we can add these proposed changes to the AGM Agenda, could you please have these proposed changes in by 8th Aug 2017 also.
